Los Angeles (Oct. 17, 2003) – The Building
Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater Los Angeles has
awarded Tower II at 21st Century Plaza with The Building of the Year
(TOBY) Award for Corporate Facility Excellence, announced Chad W.
Wehba, chief operating officer of BENTLEYFORBES, which owns both
towers at 21st Century Plaza.
"We are extremely pleased to receive recognition
for the quality of both the management team and facilities at 21st
Century Plaza," said Wehba. "21st Century Plaza occupies a premier
position in the Warner Center submarket, arguably the Valley’s
top Class A office environment, and this recognition validates that
standing."
Submitting the award on behalf of 21st Century Plaza
Tower II was the Cushman & Wakefield property management team
of: Patricia Andresen, RPA, general manager; Debby Boyd, assistant
property manager; and Eric Stacey, chief engineer.
The 11-story, 287,000-square-foot 21st Century Plaza
Tower II is located at 6303 Owensmouth Avenue in Woodland Hills,
Calif. Construction of the structural steel tower was recently completed
in 1999. The Tower II building is anchored by 21st Century Insurance
Group, which occupies 85 percent of the two towers at 21st Century
Plaza.
In its entirety, 21st Century Plaza is comprised
of two 11-story towers encompassing approximately 518,000 rentable
square feet, a 1,431 stall parking structure, 260 surface parking
spaces and the "Plaza Gardens," a fabulous sculpture garden rotating
works from master artists – the only of its kind in Southern
California.
Earlier this year, Tower II received an Energy Star
rating of 99 percent from the Environmental Protection Agency.
